about the founders

Wayne and Irene Negrini, the founders of Community Without Walls International, received a distinct call already as young believers.

Wayne and Irene Negrini
This call was to continue in the grace-reformation. 500 years ago Martin Luther began the reformation and it is still going on today.
Luther’s emphasis was on being saved by God’s grace, in his time a forgotten biblical truth.
Having experienced the power of God’s grace in their own life, grace has since then always been a motivating force for the Negrinis, whether in California, Holland, or Switzerland.
Daily they cared for people in need, without condemning them for their past.
They received people into their own home and nurtured them physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
In the spring of 1994 God called the Negrinis to Wehingen in Saarland, Germany where they purchased the old elementary school.
There they continued this lifestyle and out of it – to their own amazement - gradually grew a movement of believers which is quite unique.
More and more people expressed the desire to live in this tiny rural village of Wehingen.
Gradually the founders began to recognize God’s plan. Here were people, who were willing to leave everything behind, in order to become an integral part of this fellowship.
Christians unite themselves in a covenant-like manner, building life-long relationships, yet without strict rules or regulations.
Although the Negrinis never had the intention to found a Church, it resulted however, as a consequence from discipling people and the growing community-life.
The emphasis is not on building structures where people meet, but rather on building spiritual life in living cells.
Building the kingdom of God into people and leading them to a mature, Spirit-filled life in Christ’ (Eph. 4:13) is their call and vision.
Under this principle a discipleship ministry with many facets developed over the years.
In a crisis situation one can find spiritual and physical shelter.
Here they get to know unconditional and contagious Agape-love, an accepting and healing fellowship, a family-like atmosphere.
They receive personal edification, liberation, and are restored to what God intended them to be.
Christians learn how to have a conscious relationship with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, they experience holistic healing and spiritual authority, many of which become strong leaders.
Spiritual life is becoming visible in the form of community, social, and humanitarian services.
God is restoring His Church to Himself even now in our times – and all praise be to God – reformation IS taking place !
