Blessing of children
We do not baptize infants but bless them, according to Mark 10:13-16. Parents dedicate their new-born to God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit in the presence of the assembly. Depending on their preferences, parents may also choose godparents to participate in the ceremony. Parents, godparents and the assembly pray and bless the child.
Encounter with Jesus
“Community Without Walls” feels that the ‘Encounter with Jesus’ is one of the foundational steps that every child should have the privilege to take part in and experience. The average child participating is 10 years old and above. They go through a very special program which is followed by a festive ceremony. The program includes the elements of loving fellowship, anointed bible-teaching, and the encouragement of the child’s creativity. We lead the children to experience Jesus as a living Christ, as a personal friend, and someone that they can call upon and depend upon. Our children experience the presence of God through prayer and in teaching, in a loving atmosphere, and are then able to move forward from the knowledge of a doctrinal Christ or a historical story, to experiencing Christ.
Children’s Sunday-school
Each Sunday morning the children meet in different groups, according to their age. The focus is on conveying a biblical message which relates to their everyday life. Singing and playing together are also an important part. We undertake every effort to further friendship and fellowship, so children can develop a lasting covenant with one another.
Helping with homework
Monday through Friday in the afternoon, we offer children help and support with their homework, in groups corresponding to their age.
Youth
We believe that it is most important to live a good example for our children. Being a good example, and a Christ-like model is the best teaching, and motivation for young people. We believe our young people should experience Christianity and its lifestyle, not just in Germany, but also in other countries. In the future our young people will have the possibility to travel to the mission-field. We, at “Community Without Walls”, will support our young leaders with prayer and financial support.
