The foundation

Foundation...

The purpose of the foundation is to promote by all means possible the experience of God´s love in the life of each individual person within its realm, as well as to enable people to recognize God´s plan for their life and to implement it.
The foundation is non-denominational.

The foundation exists since January 1st 2002 under the name "Gemeinde ohne Mauern international - Community Without Walls", approved by the Ministry of internal affairs, families, women and sports of Saarland (a state in the west of Germany). Its status as public benefit is recognized.
Until 2001 we were an association. The following reasons are why we changed into a foundation.

An association has members ( people are sometimes restricted). A foundation has no members (people have a free choice).
Anyone that is interested to be part of the family "Community Without Walls does not need to apply for membership. In our foundation membership is a heart-issue. You can spiritually join, love the people, and contribute to the community life.
The purpose of the foundation is to concentrate and direct our work towards the outside, and does not permit any form of religious selfcentered life.
The foundations name "Community Without Walls" expresses our growing international relationships.
A foundation shows more transparency towards official authorities of the state.

The foundation has 5 board-members, 7 members in the advisory committee, and one executive manager.

The boutique hotel and restaurant "His Place" are located in D-66693 Mettlach-Wehingen, Südallee 2, Germany.
Our location for church-services is D-66663 Merzig-Hilbringen, Merziger Strasse 20, Germany.

Community living is God´s plan since creation.
The church of Jesus Christ is composed of people who have received God´s redemption and atonement for themselves, who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and who serve Him.
The Church is a gathering of those, who are called by Christ out of the pattern of this fallen world, independently of their denominational background.
We believe that the whole body of Christ is a living organism, united through the Holy Spirit. God is restoring His Church to Himself even now in our times.

...Without Walls

When people follow Jesus Christ with all their heart and are fellowshipping beyond boundaries of denominations, walls have been removed between them. We believe walls between people and denominations destroy and separate the body of Christ. This is why our emphasis is not on building structures where people meet, but rather we are interested in building spiritual life in living cells, in other words `building the kingdom of God into people´.
As one can neither join nor quit a living cell, there is no membership in a legal sense, and members of other Churches are therefore not in conflict with "Community Without Walls". Belonging to the "Community Without Walls" is a matter of a free, personal decision.
